Hyundai Merchant Marine wins LOG-NET E-commerce Excellence Award
March 2, 2010, Red Bank, NJ - LOG-NET, Inc. the leading integrator of ocean carriers and their customers today announced that Hyundai Merchant Marine has been awarded their 2009 award for electronic commerce excellence. The annual award was given to Hyundai at the Transpacific Maritime Conference in Long Beach, California today. The honor recognizes Hyundai's ability to achieve the highest standards of quality and consistency in electronic interfaces with its customers.
Each year LOG-NET rates the performance of ocean carriers across multiple customers corresponding to the movement of hundreds of thousands of containers. The company evaluates each carrier's performance in setting up clients for electronic interfaces as well as their daily execution of providing all transactions associated with the movement, payment and instructions for shipping containers internationally. “Electronic interfaces have taken on increasing importance as shippers around the globe try to maximize the use of technology to lower their expenses”, noted John Painter, Vice President of World Wide Sales for LOG-NET.
